Trustatlantic Bank Celebrates Opening of New Raleigh Branch

Raleigh, N.C.—April 13, 2008—TrustAtlantic Bank, the wholly owned subsidiary of TrustAtlantic Financial Corporation, commemorated the grand opening of its first stand-alone Raleigh branch office on Wednesday, April 9. The new office, located in North Raleigh at 6511 Falls of Neuse Road, was previously a site for Caribou Coffee and touts a distinctive, upscale and inviting environment. Over 200 people including community and business leaders were in attendance to unveil the new branch to the community.

The new North Ridge branch office is situated in a key North Raleigh corridor and resides less than one mile from the bank's existing corporate headquarters. The branch features a drive-through teller lane that also includes two-way live video conferencing between the tellers and customers, a 24-hour ATM machine, free Wi- Fi access, a gourmet coffee station, plus other full-service banking amenities. The new office showcases a unique open design with customer service stations interspersed throughout the lobby.

"Our North Ridge branch office expands our presence in Raleigh and allows our experienced team of banking professionals to get to know and serve the needs of our customers through our relationship-oriented service," said James A. Beck, President and Chief Executive Officer of TrustAtlantic Bank. "While we plan to open a number of other banking offices within the Raleigh-Cary area, the opening of our first full-service facility in Raleigh is an important step as we continue to build our customer base in this market."

Members of TrustAtlantic Bank's Board of Directors comprised of influential community and industry leaders were also in attendance at the grand opening celebration. Board Chairman E. Stephen Stroud led a traditional ribbon cutting ceremony and along with Mr. Beck served as host for the bank in this milestone event.
