TrustAtlantic Bank Names Raleigh-Cary Senior Commercial Banking Team

Raleigh, N.C.—August 01, 2007—TrustAtlantic Bank announced today the appointment of its senior commercial banking team for the Raleigh-Cary metro area. Tom Quinn, John Sprink and Darrin Williams have all joined TrustAtlantic as Senior Vice Presidents and will lead the bank's commercial banking and real estate lending efforts in the Triangle area.

Randy Powell, Executive Vice President and Chief banking Officer, indicated that these individuals will be charged with business development and relationship management for mid-market businesses and their owners in Wake County.

"We are delighted to have recruited three bankers the caliber of Tom, John and Darrin," said Mr. Powell. "All three individuals have had long tenures and proven track records of success in the Triangle region. Their banking experience and business development expertise provide our bank the resources we need to execute our business plan in this vibrant market."

Tom Quinn is a former Senior Vice President and Relationship Manager with SunTrust bank, where he worked for the past 13 years prior to joining TrustAtlantic. Originally from New York, Quinn is a 1989 graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology and a 2001 graduate of the LSU School of banking.

Quinn lives in Cary with his wife Michelle and their two children.

John Sprink left SunTrust bank as a Senior Vice President and Relationship Manager, where he held several retail and commercial positions in the Raleigh-Cary market for the last 15 years. A native North Carolinian, Sprink is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, and a 2000 graduate of the LSU School of banking. John and his wife Joy have three children and reside in Cary.

Darrin Williams, a 20 year banking veteran, spent the last 11 years with SunTrust Bank and held the position of Senior Vice President and Relationship Manager in the Cary office prior to joining TrustAtlantic Bank. Williams holds a BS degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and resides in Chapel Hill with his wife Tess and their two children.
