TrustAtlantic Bank Wraps Up United Way Campaign With Successful Food DriveRaleigh, NC—December 04, 2013—TrustAtlantic Bank concluded its annual United Way fundraising campaign in a big way this year. In addition to soliciting traditional monetary pledges from its associates, the company spent over four weeks collecting food from both employees and customers out of their four Wake County office locations. This week the company donated 2,795 pounds of food to the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina to help those in need.
“I am very proud of my teammates and what they were able to accomplish for people in need this Holiday season” said James A. Beck, President and Chief Executive Officer for TrustAtlantic Bank. “This volunteer effort is one way that we can give back to the community in which we live, work and raise our families. With one out of six people in the Triangle currently living below the poverty level, we know this is direly needed.”
“We sincerely appreciate the support of TrustAtlantic Bank, especially during this Holiday season” stated Lauren Landis, Food Drive Coordinator for the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina. “A donation like this should serve approximately 2,353 meals for those in our community who are truly in need.”
TrustAtlantic Bank recognized Jim Duncan, Vice President and Senior Relationship Officer, for his leadership as the company’s internal Campaign Chair. TrustAtlantic also thanked Cassie Proper and Lauren Elizabeth Offord from the United Way for the Greater Triangle, for their excellent support and active participation during the Bank’s campaign.
