L. Randy Powell, Jr.

Mr. Powell serves as an Executive Vice President and the Company’s Chief Banking Officer. He is responsible for overseeing recruitment and development of the Bank’s commercial lending team, and will manage the growth of the Bank’s commercial relationships. Prior to joining TrustAtlantic, Mr. Powell served middle market customers in North Carolina from Raleigh to Wilmington for SunTrust Bank leading a team of six commercial lending offices. These six lending offices represented over $3 billion in loans and $1 billion in deposits. Mr. Powell’s banking career includes 21 years with SunTrust serving Wake County and other markets and over 25 years of lending experience. Mr. Powell is a 1978 graduate of East Carolina University, and a 1990 graduate of the Graduate School of Banking of the South in Baton Rouge, LA.
